This page is dedicated to the conservation of salamanders in Korea, showcasing each of the species through their development. There are currently ten salamander species described in Korea, within two families and three genera.

The lab’s interest is to support conservation through direct engagement supported by conservation research, and not to be standing as an accountant of extinction. This page is therefore dedicated to education, and it is a call to action for the protection of Korean salamanders. In this regard, for instance, we are engaged in the conservation of the Yangsan Clawed Salamander (Onychodactlus sillanus) with a host of citizen groups.
