Yoonhyuk’s research is focused on the behavior and sexual dimorphism of Hynobius salamanders in Korea. Yoonhyuk’s projects include a strong field component, and most research questions are answered though field observations and manipulative experiments. In addition, Yoonhyuk is involved in other ongoing lab projects investigating the distribution, behaviour, ecology and conservation of North East Asian amphibians and reptiles. Before joining the lab, Yoonhyuk had some research experience at the lizard lab at Macquaire University, Sydney, and at the Laboratory of Animal Communication at Ewha Womans University.
