Yoonjung Yi

Yoonjung is principally interested in behavioural ecology, especially social interactions of primates, such as inter-group interactions, pair-bond, parenting and behavioral development. She mainly studies these subjects in a pair-living primate, the Javan gibbon (Hylobates moloch) in Java, Indonesia.

(Hylobates moloch)

Yoonjung received her Ph.D. from Ewha Woman’s University in the Republic of Korea. During the course of her studies she alternated between staying in Seoul and at the field station in Gunung-Halimun National park in Java, Indonesia. Recently she is also working on interactions between pollinators in China.
