Shuang joined the lab in September 2025 as a PhD student. She holds a Master’s degree in Zoology from China West Normal University, where she studied geographic variation in life-history traits and reproductive strategies of the amphibian Nanorana quadranus. The doctoral research focuses on species adaptation (population genetics and functional traits), coexistence under climate change and human disturbance, and bioacoustic responses of amphibians to environmental shifts. Shuang is proficient in population genetics, species distribution modeling, phylogenetic reconstruction, and molecular benchwork, with extensive field experience across multiple provinces in China.
